BIG GOLD SET Fluid + Wipe

The Iridium handkerchief is a specially impregnated fabric on both sides used for cleaning all types of gold jewelry.

It has a stronger abrasive than the Platinum wipe, as gold is a harder material than silver.

Easy to apply and reusable. Your hands remain dry and clean when wiping off the tarnish. Provides a high gloss and noble shine to cleaned metal.

The wipe is impregnated and should not be washed.  The wipe stops cleaning when its entire surface is covered with dirt from previous cleanings.

The Aurum fluid cleans, polishes and shines by dipping or rubbing the object with a fluid-dampened fabric. The product is intended for repeated use. Does not contain abrasives. It is used where cleaning with abrasives is impossible (small products, chains, etc.) or inadvisable.

Delays the re-darkening process. Simply dip gold jewelry for 5-10 minutes and then rinse under running water before wiping dry with a soft cloth to obtain the shine of precious bullion.

Its formula is dedicated to so-called 'ligatured' gold, an alloy that has other metals such as nickel, zinc, etc., in addition to gold and copper. These are mostly Italian-made products.

 Directions for the use of jewelry cleaning fluid "Aurum"

• Do not clean jewelry with soft organic stones (beads, pearls, amber, malachite, lapis lazuli).
• Do not clean stainless steel, chrome-plated, nickel-plated jewelry, etc. - may cause discolouration.
• Do not clean gold and silver jewelry together (electrolytic key).
• Do not clean artificially oxidised (blackened) jewelry.
• Do not clean in metal or other metal containers. Dish surfaces may be subject to discolouration and cleaned products may change colour.
• In special cases, even different types of gold (despite the same grade) can form an electrolytic key and make the cleaning process more difficult. It is recommended to clean each item separately.
• To reduce the rate of re-blackening, it is recommended to dilute Aurum fluid with distilled water and extend the cleaning time to about 5 minutes.
• Follow the same procedure for cleaning in an ultrasonic cleaner. The optimum cleaning time with 1:5 diluted Aurum is approximately 5 minutes. Cleaning efficiency can be increased by raising the temperature to 30 - 40 ^oC.
• To increase the effectiveness of rinsing, the item can be immersed in 1% ammonia water after cleaning.
• It is also recommended to dip in distilled water at the end of the rinse and then wipe with a soft cloth.
• For resistant stains, multiple shorter dip and rinse cycles are more effective than a single dip for several or even dozens of minutes.
• When cleaning large workpieces with a cloth, where running water cannot be used, the cleaned piece should be wiped several times with a different wet cloth after cleaning to remove the residual Aurum as thoroughly as possible.

Final remark: in case of unsatisfactory cleaning results, use the product again, but first degrease the item, preferably in acetone or other organic solvents.
